NEWSPAPER JOURNALISM

In a single year, Ford won eight Keystone Press Awards, including five individual or shared first prizes in the categories of investigative reporting, ongoing news, breaking news, news beat reporting, and news feature.

Half of the Right-to-Know efforts that won the John V.R. Bull Freedom of Information Award for the Reading Eagle staff in 2018 were carried out by Ford.

“I watched him grow, with a decent amount of envy, into one of the finest journalists I’ve ever worked with. I admired Ford for his tenacity, especially when pursuing stories that championed the people who have no one to speak for them.” — Reading Eagle Editor Garry Lenton writing in the Eagle, May 26, 2019.
